Privacy

The short version

This site does not use cookies. It has no adverts and no accounts. It does not ask for your name. The only place it asks for your email is the error report form, and there it is optional. It does not follow you to other sites.

Counting visits

We count how many people visit each page, so we know which pages help. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for this. It does not use cookies, and it does not identify you.

It records the page you visited, the site that sent you, your country, and the kind of device and browser you use. We see only totals.

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles the basic details needed to send you the page, such as your internet address.

Videos

Some pages may show a video from YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press Play. When you do, the video comes from YouTube, and YouTube may store information in your browser. A line under each video says so.

Links to other sites

Many pages link to other sites, such as trial registries and journals. Those sites have their own privacy rules.

If you contact us

If you use the error report form, what you write is sent to us as an email. That includes the page, what is wrong and where the right information is. It also includes your email address, if you give one. We do not include your internet address or details of your browser, and the site itself keeps no copy. The message passes through Cloudflare, which hosts the site, on its way to our inbox.

We use your details only to reply and to fix the error. We do not share them or add you to any list, and we delete the email once the error is dealt with.
